Ross grew up in Brick, New Jersey, near the jersey shore. Having an adventurous childhood he was bitten by the flying bugﾠjust after his 16th birthday. That same year he joined an Air Force Auxiliary organization; the Civil Air Patrol (C.A.P), where he received a bundle of orientation flights in a Cessna 172 . From his very first flight Ross knew aviation was a field in which he wanted to fully immerse himself. ﾠWhile serving in C.A.P. he attended flight encampment at Lake Hurst Naval Air Station where he stayed in the barracks and attended ground school while flying throughout the week. ﾠAfter this experience, Ross decided to enroll in an Aviation college in order to continue his education.
Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida was Ross's school of choice. ﾠHe majored in Aeronautical Science, and minored in Air Traffic Management. While earning his Bachelor's at Embry, Ross also sought and earned his Private, Instrument, Multi and single commercial ratings.
After Embry, Ross began working for Swissport at Sanford International ﾠAirport. He learned more about the aviation business fundamentals through training in various related fields. With the allure of flight and his desire to share his love of aviation with others,
Ross decided it was time to get back to flying. This is where he and Flight Training Professionals crossed paths.
Ross started his CFI initial training at Flight Training Professionals and, after rigorous training, was welcomed onto the team. Knowing both sides of being a student at the school and an employee gives Ross a unique perspective into the level and quality of training received.
