Nick grew up in Cincinnati dreaming of flight before he could even ride a bike. As a child he would beg his parents every weekend to take him to the historical Lunken Airfield or Wright Patterson Air Force Museum so he could see the airplanes and air shows, and during the week he spent hours playing on flight simulator programs at home. Nick got his first taste of flying in his father’s Piper Cherokee at eight years old, and he has been hooked ever since.
In high school, Nick spent his days working as a mechanic at his father’s restoration shop, building motorcycles, and competing across the country as a varsity crew rower. When it came time for college, he decided to pursue his dreams and become a career pilot by attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach. Nick earned a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science with a minor in Business Administration, and he attained his Private Pilot License, Instrument Rating, Commercial Single and Multi-Engine Certificates, and his Flight Instructor Certificates as a part of his degree program. He was also involved in many extra-curricular activities in college such as the Embry-Riddle Honors Program, the Scuba Diving Club, and several leadership honor societies. Nick’s dedication to his studies and flight training granted him many unique opportunities, such as spending a summer in Greece working with Aegean Airlines and learning how to sail in the Greek islands.
After graduation, Nick set his sights on becoming a Flight Instructor for the best flight school in the country by joining the Flight Training Professionals team. Whether it be volunteering at local grade schools, coaching crew teams, or teaching people to fly, Nick has always enjoyed sharing his passions with others and delivering the highest quality instruction.
