The Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) training is comprised of two parts – flight training and ground training. You have several options for ground training, but the goal is to successfully complete your aviation knowledge test. Flight training takes place in the airplane. You will learn skills and gain experience necessary to safely operate an airplane on your own and pass your check ride

Requirements:

• You must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Instrument rating.
  
• You must be 23 years of age or older. There is no maximum age limit.
• You must be able to read, speak, and understand English.
• Be of good moral character.
• You must hold at least a Third Class FAA Medical Certificate.

How Long Will It Take?

The Federal Aviation Administration has established no minimum training time for the Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. However, the do have time requirements for eligibility to become an ATP. They require a minimum of 1500 total flight hours, of which at least 500 hours of cross country flight time, 100 hours of night time flying and 75 hours of flying in instrument flight conditions.

Most customers choose to complete this course in an accelerated manner. At this pace it will take approximately 2 to 4 days to complete the training and approximately 5 to 8 flight hours and 4 to 6 ground hours with the flight instructor.
