Steven Moore leads the weekly aviation education seminar that meets on Wednesday evenings at FTPros. He has been flying since 1974 and flight instructing since 1977. He was the Chief Flight Instructor/Director of Training for Comair Aviation Academy (currently L3 Harris Academy) until he joined the FAA as an Aviation Safety Inspector. He retired after 23 years’ service at the Orlando Flight Standards District Office (FSDO). In 1996 Steve was selected as the Orlando FSDO Flight Instructor of the Year. In addition, he was awarded the FAA Aviation Safety Inspector (Operations) of the Year for the Southern Region in 2009. He also holds seaplane and glider ratings.
